Thur 10 Oct | 8 pm | Talk by Ged Marshall “Year in the Life of a Bee Farmer”. Ged, a bee farmer from Buckinghamshire, is now a familiar popular speaker having given us two talks within the last 12 months. This one will undoubtedly be as informative and interesting as his previous ones.

Wed 6 Nov | 8 pm | Talk by Dr Mark Brown “Saving the Bees”. Mark’s research is on host-parasite interactions in bees at the School of Biological Sciences, Royal Holloway, University of London. A focus of his current work is on emergent pathogens in both species, and in this talk he will discuss current research on Deformed Wing Virus and Nosema ceranae in bumblebees and honeybees. |

Sun 2 Feb 2014 | 2.30 pm | AGM, Tea & Cakes, followed by talk by Celia Davis “Beekeeper vs Bee”.
Celia has a degree in Agriculture, has kept bees for over 30 years, obtained her National Diploma in Beekeeping in 1994, is an examiner for the BBKA and tutor for the BBKA Correspondence Course. She is best known as authoress of “The Honey Bee Inside Out” and “The Honey Bee Around and About”. She now lectures widely. |
