MINUTES OF THE 2023 AGM  


Nominations for the Committee:

Please note that any other member who wishes to put themselves forward for the Committee should email their name, together with the names of their proposer and seconder, to the Secretary by Sunday 21st January 2024: secretary@beekeeping.org.uk 


Under the NLB Constitution there can be a maximum of six General Committee Members in addition to the three Officers: Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. The Committee shall have the power to co-opt full beekeeping members, provided that the total membership of the Committee does not exceed eleven members.

Should any member have a proposal they wish to be discussed at the AGM, please email the Secretary by Sunday 21st January 2024: secretary@beekeeping.org.uk 


After the AGM, at approximately 4pm, you are invited to Sue Lang’s talk on the history of beekeeping. Sue has been keeping bees for 17 years and is well known as a judge at honey shows. In this talk she describes how bees evolved millions of years ago, how they have thrived over the millennia, notable beekeeping inventions and famous beekeepers.
