Show your support and volunteer at the NLB World Bee Day event - all NLB members welcome

NLB will be running a stall at Alexandra Palace Garden Centre to celebrate the United Nations initiate - World Bee Day on May 20th. World Bee Day is intended to shine a light on the habitat of pollinators to improve the conditions for their survival so that bees and other pollinators may thrive: www.un.org/en/events/beeday
There will be an observation hive at our event to show the inner workings of a hive; a skep, beekeeping artefacts, a good selection of information leaflets from the BBKA and our display boards. We will be
hand-rolling candles during the day to raise money for Bees for Development and Bees Abroad.
If you have any honey to sell that would be welcome!
Alexandra Palace Capital Gardens Centre will have a large display of seasonal forage plants suitable for urban gardens and a children’s bee trail with prizes. Alexandra Palace Capital Garden Centre sponsored the building of our apiary at Ally Pally and continues to sponsor NLB.
It will be a lovely day to spend some time with NLB beekeepers, support a great event and of course talk about bees! If you have an hour or two to spare that would be great.
