With thousands descending on Pond Square despite the occasional dark clouds looming the atmosphere was lovely. Local societies, charities and businesses were all present including our friends at The Highgate Society who took votes on which local woman most deserved a Historic England blue plaque.
It was wonderful day for the NLB stall which was busy selling honey before we had finished setting up. The observation hive one again proved very popular with the everyone wanting to spot the queen and asking plenty of questions.
Hamish, our Treasurer who volunteered on the stall said "Every ounce was sold - and we could have sold quite a bit more!"
Roll on next year...
